What do you write?
Duel MCI, RIS, Most Criminally Insane, Rocking It Suckers!

Tell us a little about yourself… How long you’ve been painting and who you’re down with etc.
I’ve been writing since 1984. I didn’t start writing Duel ‘til 1986.

What brands of paint did you use most frequently in the early years?
Rust-Oleum, Krylon, Nybco, Magic, Town & Country… any paint I could get my hands on.

Are you a can collector?
Not really, I do have a lot of vintage cans though.

Can you still find old paint stock in your area?
I haven’t really looked.

Any good racking stories?
I used to go racking with my man JA, XTC on a regular. We used to go every Saturday. We used to hit deep Long Island and Upstate. We racked paint, art supplies, and anything we could basically get our hands on. We used to come back with 200+ cans a piece easy.

Any favorite old paint stores?
Pergament, Martin Paint, mom and pop spots which I can’t remember names to.

Best discontinued paint, and why?
Old Krylons made the best colors and they covered well. Walmart silvers, the best cheap paint ever!! for a $1.19, that shit covered well. I used to love doing throw ups and simples with them.

Any good racked cap/can combos?
I used to rack fat caps from Kitchen Magic and Spray n Wash. They were the shit!!

‘Worst paint ever’ award goes to?
Good News, Varathane and Blubber. Straight garbage.

What are some of your best painting experiences?
Painting with my boys DET, JA, and KET always had the best time with them dudes. Can’t forget GHOST, always dropping some type of knowledge.

How do you feel about the brands of Euro paint and their impact on the scene?
Best shit ever, wish it were available back when I was really active. It definitely spoiled me, that’s all I use when I do pieces.

If you could choose a few cans to have on your shelf, what would they be?
Krylon ‘Jungle Green’, ‘Aqua Turquoise’ & ‘Clover Safety Green’. They were my favorite colors.

Any other comments?
I’d like to thank you for the interview. I’d also like to say whaddap to my MCI, RIS peoples, ZC and the crew at the AirGrafx Shop, and Hoodlum Inks.
