Tell us a little about yourself… How long you’ve been painting and who you’re down with etc.
I got my name in 97, that’s when I really started painting, actually taking it seriously. I fucked around a little before that, but had no real guidance. As far as crews, I only write with 42 crew, leaders in home abortion.
What brands of paint did you use most frequently in the early years?
Started out basically using only Krylon, it was years before I wised up. I’m sure whatever didn’t catch buff has long since faded away.
Are you a can collector?
Yeah, although I’ve slowed down as far as really searching or taking trips.
Can you still find old paint stock in your area?
None I care about.
Any good racking stories?
For this one I prefer “rescuing” to racking.
There was a spot I’d been to many times with Verse, one where you could hardly move around, basically just isles through mountains of trash and boxes. The guy would never let us go in the back or even move stuff around the rack. One day we stop by, it’s just the woman by herself and we beg her to let us in the back. Finally she says, “You’ve got one minute, If he finds out he’ll kill me.” I climb this mountain of trash where there’s shelves against the wall, then start reaching in a hole and pulling out can after can. All late 50s early 60s… Big Faces.. Derusto.. all weird odds. The lady starts trippin’; “Hurry get outta there he’s on his way!” We’re out the door with this dusty ass box of cans and I knew we left a ton of stuff. So we start going back when we get a chance hoping she’s there alone. One day we stop by and there’s a padlock on the door, no one around, closed.
It took five nights and a whole box of heavy duty construction bags to get everything out of that place!

I’ll use whatever paint I can get my hands on.

The ones I got paid for.
How do you feel about the brands of Euro paint and their impact on the scene?
I love it if I can rack it or scam it. I don’t give a shit about the scene.
If you could choose a few cans to have on your shelf, what would they be?
Whichever ones I can turn around and sell for the most when I’m broke.
