What do you write?
Koter

Tell us a little about yourself… How long you’ve been painting and who you’re down with etc.
I started writing in 83, but really fell for her in A&D H.S. I’m down with several crews, although I prefer to call them family… OUR THING, GRAFFITI ART KINGS, TEN HUNDRED CANS, HEAVEN BOUND, THEY MUST EXIST & forever CIRCLES TRIANGLES SQUARES.

So what brands of paint did you use most frequently in the early years?
Brands I mostly used was Krylon, Rust-Oleum, Rust-Oleum American Accents, Rust-Oleum Painters Touch, Ace & any other paint available.

Are you a can collector?
Yes… I collect paint, (thanks to KA), among various other things. Some say it’s a disease… I have some Krylon and Rust-Oleum to
trade for Red Devil!!

Can you still find old paint stock in your area?
I’m sure there’s some paint out there if you know where to look and have the time to invest.

Any good racking stories?
Stealing is illegal!

Any favorite old paint stores?
Pergament, Caldor, Rickel and cant forget Martin Paint. That store out in Kansas City, MO. that had the massive 60s Krylons on the shelf like they was brand new and the claim of “oldest hardware store this side of the Mississippi.” The store in Warsaw, IN where I had to wake the old man up in the back to get to the basement… trust is a lost virtue!

Best discontinued paint, and why?
RED DEVIL what else? It’s a native New Yorker, has the best graphics on can, not to mention that every old school cat and there mom cites it as best paint
ever…!

Worst paint ever award goes to?
There’s no worst paint, it all has its use…

What are some of your best painting experiences?
Any time painting with good people and having a good time is great, but one of the best times ever was the trip we took out to Richmond, VA to
paint with dudes we didnt know with no place to sleep. Then meeting the coolest cats and sleeping at the apartment of two girls who happened to live next to the wall we was painting. This was the birth of OT!

How do you feel about the brands of Euro paint and their impact on the scene?
I’ll use any brand of paint to do the fill but you can’t beat the Euro stuff to outline with.

If you could choose a few cans to have on your shelf, what would they be?
The few cans I would like on my shelf are the few I’m missing from the Red Devil line up!

Any other comments?
Thanks for the interview… GOD bless CEAMS AND SAMER.
